Managing users of educational system based on role controls

چکیده

Nowadays, the development of robust educational systems has been a reality thus provoking great efforts to control users’ access in these systems. Besides, an educational system has mutable tasks, changing users’ permissions and consequently limitations are generated in the system security. The main feature of RBAC (Role Based Access Control) is that permissions are associated with roles, and appropriate roles are assigned to users. In the Organization Based Access Control (Or-BAC) model, it is possible to express requirements using the notion of context where each privilege (permission or obligation or prohibition) is only applied in a given context. A context is considered as an extra condition that must be satisfied to active a given privilege, which is associated to an organization. This work has the purpose to present a RBAC model overview, to compare it with Or-BAC model and show how Tidia-AE (Electronic Learning) access control model can be compared with RBAC and Or-Bac main
